Hello Family & Friends!
We are so incredibly excited to finally gather our favorite people for the celebration we’ve always dreamed of. We know that Madeira is a bit of a journey, but we chose this island because it reflects the spirit of adventure that has defined our life together—from the peaks of Vancouver Island to the waters of Baja Sur.
If you’re able to make the trip, we promise it’ll be more than just a wedding day; it’ll be an adventure full of rugged coastlines, lush mountains, and new memories together. We can’t wait to celebrate our “I do” with you in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
“How did ya’ll meet?”
Our story actually began with a bit of a plot twist. David first met Vaishnavi while she was on a date with someone else—a setup orchestrated by the same friends (Jerry & Jing) who eventually realized they’d picked the wrong guy the first time around! When they finally got the pairing right and set us up, David decided to show off a bit and took Vaishnavi ice skating.
It turns out, David was the one with the steady feet that night. After two laps of watching her wobble, David realized that if he didn’t get Vaishnavi off the ice fast, she’d be falling for the floor instead of for him. To save the date, he suggested to trade the skates for some drinks. They spent the rest of the night talking instead of sliding, and it was easily the best executive decision he ever made.
